• Helyer is entering her second season on the pro beach tour.
• Her best finish in 2000 was a 13th at the Oldsmobile Beach Volleyball Olympic Challenge Series events in Deerfield Beach, Florida and Virginia Beach, Virginia.
• On the BVA Tour, her best finishes were 17ths at six of the seven events.

College

• Played her collegiate volleyball at the University of North Carolina-Wilmington.
• Was the captain of the team and made All-Conference during her career.

• Helyer works full-time as a marine biologist for an environmental consulting firm in San Diego.
• Hobbies include golfing, hiking, fishing, anything to do with water, and creative cooking.
